Welcome! These are just notes. My (often unfinished) thoughts, not properly edited. Things taken from my journal, study notes etc. I mostly wrote these notes as a way to help me give voice to the thoughts and ideas I have floating around in my head, but I made them public just in case someone else might benefit from them.

Family Fun

Saturday turned into one of those unexpected little adventures. We drove up to Fort Wayne and spent the afternoon wandering around downtown, taking in all the beautiful hydrangeas and other flowers and colorful murals splashed across the sides of old buildings. Promenade Park was especially peaceful—we sat on that giant swing overlooking the river and watched canoes, kayaks, and even the canal boat drift by.

We wandered over to German Fest for a bit and enjoyed the music. My daughter was brave enough to try a breaded schnitzel. (She likes trying different foods).  After that, we stopped at DeBrand’s chocolates to look around and pick up a gift certificate for a friend.

We wrapped up the day at Oley’s Pizza, where my daughter picked up a pizza for her dad for Father’s Day. Simple, fun, and surprisingly inexpensive—just the kind of day that fills you up without emptying your wallet.
